I grew up close to Fred Waring's Tamiment in the Poconos. For years, his organization was on television at all the holidays and they toured the group almost every year.

When I moved here, I discovered that I live only a few miles from where Fred Waring ended up. He retired here and was quite a presence until his death. He has a Drive named after him.
