ROLLING SADNESS
We seem to have no end of the people we need to tell about Franklin.
Today it was our friend Mark who we used to see every Sunday.
Mark's dog died of old age and now he has a new one. A rescue.
We told the story again. It gets easier but not without its bumps. Everyone who knew Franklin had a different kind of experience of him.
Mark's experience would have been the gentle way that he had with older dogs. He would somehow respect them for their age. He would act appropriately with them. A gentle guy.
It has been over three weeks.
I had to go visit his little cedar box this morning and hold it a little while.
