REPREHENSIBLE
Gallup just polled this and came up with these.

I went down this to see what my score would be. What would NOT be OK for me. They are listed by controversialness. Not a word. But you get it, right?
I am for assisted suicide at the end of the game but I know it is not necessary. My doctor already assisted me by telling me to stop eating. Well, not easy but no suicide method is a piece of cake.
Of what do I disapprove? A shorter list than the "approves".
I am OK with abortion but not 100%. I have reservations about it so it is easier to say that I am for a woman's choice. Some women choose not to abort. Good.
I am leery about medical testing on animals yet know that it is necessary. I want humane testing but sometimes that can't actually happen. Let me review each case personally.
I mostly disapprove of the death penalty but I was cheered up to hear that Ben Ladin got killed/assassinated. Field of battle I guess, huh? So, No. No capital punishment. Too many DNA discoveries of innocence.
I think that suicide is a terrible thing but figure it is my right to do it if I want. I hope that I would be able to do it so no one has to find a mess. It happened in my family and a mess was left. I would take the not eating step.
That is about it. I don't know about polygamy. I guess I have no position on it. It is practiced extensively in the world and often is accompanied by subjugation of women. So no. Not.
All of the rest of it is OK with me.
What strikes me about this poll is the obvious hypocrisy of many positions.
Look, Don't tell me that 91% of married people do NOT have affairs. I would guess half. So people are saying what they morally believe but not how they behave.
Divorce tracks pretty well with the actual stats. Well, how do many of these divorces get started? Adultery.
But otherwise it all makes sense to me as close to how the world operates.
