Shouldn'a done it
A disaster movie today.
I should have known it would be a trial for me.
Do you know how many Spidey movies there are out there?
Stan Lee is coining it. Multiple versions with different actors.
This is Andrew Garfield.
Every actor needs his super hero movie and Garfield is very good in it. More convincing than others not to mention names.
But jeeez the CGI is overwhelming.
Way too much. I have headache from watching it.
I was glad to see Denis Leary in it though. A Boston boy making semi-good.
Here he is a cop and now old enough to have a beautiful daughter for Peter P. to turn down. In the rain. Sad. Spiderman cannot have any attachments.
A loner.
Garfield is very tall and thin and is, therefore, a much more convincing physical model of the web maker. And I like him. Toby Maguire was kind of a dweeb. That aspect of Peter P can be overplayed.
Rhsy Ivins is the villain. Not bad.
And the final starring roles for old actors would have to be superhero's human parents. Here that would be Martin Sheen and an overwrought Sally Fields. Does anyone look more worried? The furrowed brows.
And so on. I will stop now.
Finally, I couldn't take it. I admit that I FF through the second half.
That makes it a 2 out of Netflix5.
You would have to hold me down and clamp my eyelids open to watch it again.
This is where the fans say that I should have seen it in 3-D on the BIG screen. Save it. Bigger is not better. And as for 3-D, well I would rather have almost anything pop out of the screen at me than a fucking spider.
