Everyday
Sometimes the simplest of stories is all that we need.
And today's movie is a very simple story.
Love ended, love begun, love thwarted, best intentions askew.
People Places Things (2015) is a gentle comedy about life after the first marriage. And the kids too.
A cartoonist finds that putting his inner thoughts into his work can help and hurt the life he is trying to lead off the page.
Sometimes this film seems a little unsure of itself. There is an ex wife who is a little too annoying but maybe that is the point.
Perhaps there are too many issues in the air at one time.
But once I sat back and quit asking for more than I was seeing unroll before me, I had a very good time. Light laughs, some sighs and a satisfying ending.
No blockbuster but then they are not based on real life of any kind.
