Two things to like about today's film.

A lot of Boston and a new Johnny Depp.

Black Mass (2015)

Two things. I liked Depp's performance a lot and I am a long time, sometimes intense fan. I didn't like the Jack Sparrow stuff but that is more me then him.

Second thing, this is Boston. About several well known Boston figures. The Bulger brothers and the prosecutors who finally brought Bulger to justice. It also shows a highly tainted FBI.

I remember these times. I remember the brothers.

It is all pretty accurate.

The scenery is very familiar and well done. The pace is a little slow. I would be willing to see it again though.So a 4 out of Netflix5. For a non-Bostonian maybe a 3.
