HOW HOT IS IT?
Hot enough that it will do in the hibiscus. Too hot for the blossoms to stay. Soon, the plants will go dormant for the rest of the summer.
Too hot for Booker and I to walk more than half an hour after dinner. And we need to stay off the black pavement. We can do that if we stay in the complex.
Too hot to keep the house open very long and soon, the day will come when we do not open it at all. Probably if and when it gets humid.
It is my opinion that HOT is late this year. And not as hot.
I like going out in it. The air has been very very dry. Four percent humidity a lot of the time.
This is not news. We live in the desert. And it is not complaint. When it gets too hot we just think about the northeast winters and the time between February to April. We will take this.
Actually, this is how hot it is right now. 107. In the shade.
UPDATE: It hit 115 later in the day.
