PEARL

This is Pearl Harbor Day.

I already have young friends who have no idea what that means.

We all have different wars of our own times.

I remember it happening because it upset the whole house and extended family.

My mother cried. And fainted.

Always the center of attention. Even at war.

Today, it is just a memory. The period of time, 1941 -1945 was tough on everyone. More so the people in Europe and Asia.

I was between 4 and 8. My Dad went to war. All that.

Soon, no one will really remember it. They will know about it but not remember. Two different things.

Transience.

That is OK. We have our own times to work with. No baggage.
