LEGENDARY
Two more sessions of Legend of the Seeker today. That was the movie. A syndicated television show.
Very good. There was some history learned today. Some important history. But I can't tell you. If you see it you will want to wait for the thing to unfold on its own for you. Otherwise the emotional release would not be as productive.
I cannot figure out the formula. I am sure that there is one. The pattern of villainy and defeat for both sides, the reemergence of characters, the slowly unfolding legend.
But the timing has to be part of the series success.
In each episode, there is another internal consistency. This is the first show that I have seen that has breaks for commercials but somehow makes them germane or useful to the advance and tension of the plot.
There is a problem for each segment and, very often, the problem either gets resolved or a solution is promised to the current dilemma.
There is also the continuing story which has to be covered. The unrequited romance between Richard and Kalen, the ebb and flow of Darken Rahl's regime, the position of the three Boxes of Ordin that, when put together will give whoever is touching them an ultimate power of enslavement of everyone else.
We have seen this happen. It is a bastard!
I really like this. I haven't watched teevee for decades but I would gladly put aside my life to watch this one.
Actually, in a sense, I have done this. There is no way that I will be quitting this.
This is the very beginning of Episode One.
Full screen and, if you have them, put on the earphones.
It starts with Kahlan and then moves on to Richard. The two main characters.
