MY MOUTH HURTS
Today was my date with destiny—no—dentistry!
I was to have one crown put in. Well, started.
He wanted to do two because each necessitates taking out the partial and so, this way, it will be only involve one trip to the lab.
It disrupts my cash flow a bit but I am used to having my cash flow disrupted lately. So I said OK.
It is out now. The partial. Can you tell?
I will be without it for two weeks.
The operation was OK too. Uncomfortable. Two time into the breach.
One has to swallow water while keeping the mouth wide open. A bit like waterboarding I suspect.
It is raw there now. And my mouth is all tender where he was working.
I am on ibuprofen.
He warned that one of the teeth required a filling close to the nerve and might have to have a root canal later.
Yoiks.
But he thinks not or he would have done it now.
So. Faith over fear.
The good thing is that I am two steps ahead of where I expected to be.
The partial only involves two fake teeth so I am not out much for the duration.
I navigated lunch OK. I may not be eating a pretzel later though.
I will take my meds and relax.
I am usually a good patient. Impatient. But good.
